Guide to Catering Your Golf Course Wedding

falcon's fire golf course wedding catering

Are you getting ready for a golf course wedding? This is an exciting time for you and your spouse-to-be, but you have a lot of planning to do! From finding your dress and tux to getting all of your vendors in order, there's a lot on your plate.

One thing that you have to consider is catering. Catering a wedding isn't as easy as it might seem. Yes, you have to hire caterers who will take care of a lot of the work for you, but you have to make decisions and plans to make sure that you get the most out of their services.

We're here to help. Read on for a brief guide for catering your golf course wedding.

Ask for Recommendations

Most people will be happy to share their good experiences with local caterers. If you have married friends or family members, use them as resources to help you find your perfect match!

If you don't know anyone who's recently gotten married, that's okay. You can always talk to your wedding planner or any of your other vendors. They may have experience working with specific caterers and they can give you recommendations.

Mention Food Restrictions

When you're contacting different caterers, make sure that you mention any dietary restrictions that you have for your menu. This includes specific dietary needs (like vegan, kosher, or gluten-free dishes) as well as allergies.

Not all catering companies are willing (or able) to make alternative menu items, especially when it comes to making sure that they're allergy-safe. If you want to be able to offer the best wedding food to all of your guests, you need an inclusive caterer.

Schedule a Tasting

Even the most popular and professional catering company won't be a good match if you don't like their food! When you're scheduling interviews, make sure that you also schedule a tasting.

You want to enjoy your meal at your wedding. After all, you're paying a lot of money for it! Don't worry about offending caterers if they're not a good fit.

Ask for Details

While you're interviewing catering companies, bring a list of questions so you can ask for important details.

See if they're willing to come up with a rough outline of their services. How much does catering cost through them, and what does that cost include? Are there things that you can add for extra fees, like bar services

Do they make food on-site or do they bring it to the venue pre-made? Do they provide utensils and glassware, or do you have to pay for that as well?

Any good caterer will be happy to answer all of your questions before you commit to their services.
